Meet the Owner, McKenzie!

Capital Eyes Optical was founded in 1989 and serves Olympia, WA and the surrounding communities including Lacey, Tumwater. Our new owner McKenzie has taken over the business and is looking forward to giving our customers the same high-quality services that Gary provided for over 30 years.

A Few Words from McKenzie

I grew up in Tacoma and have lived and worked in the Puget Sound area my entire life, working in optical since 2008. I love that every day I get to help people improve their lives through better vision and a new look.

I am licensed in Washington (LDO) and Have my American Board of Opticianry certification (ABOC) and National Contact Lens Examiners Certification (NCLEC). I graduated Seattle Central Opticianry School in 2013 with an Associates of Applied Science.

I am a proud member of the Tumwater Lion's Club.

I enjoy traveling even if it is locally, (although I have still never been to Canada, even though it is a short drive away). I have been abroad on mission trips. I am also an avid reader of Sci-Fi/ Fantasy genre and often read optical trade publications. I also enjoy camping, kayaking, and spend time with friends, family, and my guy. I love dogs, big or small, but sadly don't have any currently.
